The streets and community will be in good hands with recent Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) academy graduates from 亚博体育. The students received their cadet awards and certificates from the senior management team as well as President Alexander 鈥淪andy鈥 Stewart and BLET Director Ron Turk at the ceremony held on June 12, 2025 on the Pinehurst campus.
鈥淎fter a long five-month course of basic law enforcement skills, 亚博体育 Community College is proud to recommend that this fine group of cadets be certified as law enforcement officers in North Carolina,鈥 said Turk. 鈥淎s the next generation of sworn officers and deputy sheriffs, we are confident that they will well represent the cities, county and state professionally.鈥

Graduates included Addison Allred, Andrew Bradley, Louse Chiappetta, Trenton Freeman, Preston Greene, Cole Holder, Hunter Johnson, Jacob Moore, Michael Rivera and Christopher Williams. Many of the students are headed to or already in the field practicing. Cadet Rivera gave the invocation and lead the class remarks and Cadet Freeman gave the benediction. The colors were posted by Moore County Sherriff鈥檚 department.
Joining the celebration were representatives from Moore County Sherriff鈥檚 Office, NC State Highway Patrol, Aberdeen PD, Carthage PD, Robbins PD, Vass PD, Wake Forest PD and FirstHealth of the Carolinas Company Police.
The guest speaker was Kimberly Davis, Senior Assistant District Attorney, who emphasized the impact the class will make in society. In addition, she shared there will be days filled with highs and lows as experiences differ. She emphasized community safety and the important role they have as police officers and deputy sheriffs, and also mentioned how they will interact with the District Attorney's Office.
